Returns & Refund Policy

Overview

Returns

We offer a 30-day limited return policy. You have 30 days from the date your item is delivered to request a return.

To be eligible for return:

  • The item must be in the same condition it was received — unused, undamaged, and with all included accessories.
  • Original packaging may not always be available; minimal or simplified packaging does not affect return eligibility unless the product itself is damaged.
  • A receipt or proof of purchase is required.

We do not accept returns from outside of Canada. To begin a return, contact us at contact@hamiltonhobbyelectronics.ca. Returns sent without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Processing Returns

Depending on the item, returns may be processed through one of our authorized distribution or fulfillment partners, which can affect the return steps and timing.

  • We will provide a return label or instructions when a physical return is required.
  • In some cases, a refund may be issued after verification without requiring the item to be shipped back.
  • Approval and processing times may vary based on the item and the location involved.

Damages & Delivery Issues

Please inspect your order upon arrival. If the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us immediately with photos so we can review and arrange the appropriate resolution.

Possible resolutions include:

  • Replacement of the item
  • Refund to your original payment method
  • A return request if necessary

Note: Packaging damage alone is not covered unless the product itself is affected.

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns for the following:

  • Perishable or time-sensitive goods
  • Custom or personalized products
  • Personal care items
  • Hazardous materials or flammable products (for example, certain batteries, leaking components, or broken glass)
  • Final sale items

Exchanges

If an exchange is approved but the requested replacement is no longer available, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected — or once the issue is verified — we will notify you of approval or denial. If approved, refunds are issued to your original payment method.

Refunds typically process within up to 5-10 business days from date of final approval. Your bank or card provider may require additional time to post the refund.
